I have expertise in providing permanent makeup services for lips and eyebrows. To ensure that you are well-informed and prepared for your permanent makeup treatment, I have created a detailed guide for each service to help you anticipate what to expect during and after your permanent makeup treatment.

MIRCOBLADING

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing that involves superficially depositing pigment into the epidermis, the second layer of the skin. Its uniqueness lies in the blade-shaped tool instead of a traditional tattoo gun. A row of tiny, almost invisible needles allows the artist to create very fine hair-like strokes into the skin. The realistic-looking brow hairs are achieved through etching or feathering, resulting in crisp and ultra fine hair strokes. Because of the pigment used and the way it’s deposited closer to the skin’s surface, microblading produces result that looks soft and subtle that enhances and accentuate the natural appearance of eyebrows.

Microblading is a suitable option for individuals who have sparse, over-plucked, or thin eyebrows and desire naturally full brows. It also works best on clients with normal to dry skin and evenly dispersed hair.

MICROSHADING

Microshading, also known as powder brows or ombre brows, is a semi-permanent makeup technique used to shade eyebrows. The procedure involves the use of an electronic rotary tattoo device that has a single needle attached to it. It enables the artist to apply fuller and more frequent strokes to the brows. Fine dots are made along the brow area, gradually building up color and a defined outline to achieve a soft, shaded effect similar to eyebrow powder.

Compared to microblading, microshading creates fuller and more dramatic brows, with a powdery and misty finish. Therefore, this technique is an excellent option for individuals seeking a more made-up look for their eyebrows. Microshading is great perfect for any skin types, particularly suitable for individuals with with oily, thin, large-pored, sensitive or mature skin.

HYBRID

Hybrid brows, also known as combo brows, is a combination of microblading and shading techniques. This method creates a blend of natural-looking hairs at the front of the brow and gradually transitioning into a more shaded, powdered appearance around the arch and tail end of the brow. Hybrid brows tend to have a fuller appearance than standard microbladed brows, but are not as dramatic as fully shaded powder brows. The result is a balanced and subtle enhancement to the brows. It is a popular choice among those who seek a natural yet defined look for their eyebrows. Though it is suitable for all skin types, but is the perfect solution to women with oily skin.

LIP BLUSH

Lip blushing has emerged as the latest semipermanent makeup trend, gaining popularity amongst individuals looking to enhance their lips. It involves depositing the lips with pigments using cosmetic tattoo gun, creating a natural-looking flush that enhances the lips' appearance. Just like other semipermanent makeup procedures, lip blushing provides the convenience of waking up to flawlessly flushed lips without the need for lipstick or gloss. Nevertheless, if desired, wearing different colored lipsticks is still an option, as this procedure will leave a subtle, natural tint on your lips.

The procedure can also help create fuller and youthful looking lips by adding definition and enhancing lip symmetry. For those with lines, scars or discoloration on their lips, lip blushing can help hide these imperfections and create a more even-toned and vibrant appearance. Women who have gotten lip blush treatment praise the outcome for its beautiful natural appearance and time-saving advantages.

SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP

Semi-permanent makeup procedures typically involve two appointments: the Initial Session and the Touch-Up Session. However, in some cases, the process may require multiple sessions. The first session usually takes about 2-3 hours to complete, depending on your needs and specifications. A touch-up appointment is necessary to complete the permanent makeup process. This session is a crucial step in achieving the desired shape, fullness, and color, as it allows for fine-tuning and adjustments to be made. Additionally, any areas that may not have taken well after the first appointment can be addressed. As it is common for the color implanted the first time to not be perfect. This second layer adds depth and longevity to your permanent makeup, resulting in more polished, long-lasting brows.

This 90-minute session provides me with the opportunity to perfect my work and add the finishing touches that take it from great to exceptional. The first retouch is typically scheduled once the skin has had time to fully heal, approximately 6-12 weeks after the initial appointment. After the touch-up session, the results can last anywhere from 18 months to 3 years, depending on factors such as the individual's skin type, skincare routine, and lifestyle. While semi-permanent makeup results can last a long time, an annual color-boost appointment will be necessary to keep your look fresh and beautiful. This appointment typically takes place every 12-18 months after the initial treatment.

PROCEDURE

To start the process, I will review the details of the procedure with you, discussing your desired outcome and addressing any concerns you may have. I will also provide you with expert advice on how to enhance your features. Your medical history as well as your skin conditions will be checked to assess your suitability for the procedure. You will also be provided with consent form to fill out.

Following this, I will clean the area to be worked on thoroughly, and then apply a topical anesthetic to the area to ensure your comfort during the process.

As the topical anesthetic takes effect, I will measure and carefully sketch the outline or "map" of your desired lip/brow shape. Next, I will formulate the perfect color pigment that suits your skin tone and preference. You will have the chance to review and approve the shape and color before the actual procedure begins.

After that, I will deposit the pigment into your lips/brow area using a handheld cosmetic tattoo device. Once done, I will provide you with a detailed explanation of all the necessary aftercare instructions.

HEALING PROCESS

The healing process can vary from person to person, and it typically takes about 4 to 6 weeks. During the healing period, your eyebrows will go through several phases. Below is a breakdown of the healing stages:

  • Immediately after the procedure, it's common to experience tenderness, redness, swelling, and possibly bruising, but these symptoms usually should subside within a few hours. Initially, your lips or eyebrows may appear more pronounced, sharper, and warmer than they will after they have fully healed. Additionally, the pigmented area may produce lymphatic fluid, which requires gentle wiping.
  • On day 2, swelling will gradually decrease, and the color will appear darker, thicker, and more noticeable than the desired result.
  • From day 3-4, the pigmented may start to dry and flake, and adequate moisturizing is necessary during this time.
  • Between days 5-7, the area may start to itch and peel, and excess pigment may flake off, resulting in a flaky or scabby appearance. This is normal, and a soft, rich color will begin to settle in.
  • From day 7 to day 13, the pigment may appear lighter than the actual shade due to the formation of new skin layers over the pigment, and you may notice a whitish, gray haze on the area.
  • After day 14, the color will gradually intensify and bloom each day until the skin is completely healed.
  • By day 21, your lips or eyebrows will be fully healed, and the color will start to fully resurface and soften. The area may feel dry for a month or two, but applying appropriate moisturizer can alleviate this issue.

To promote proper healing, and achieve optimal and long-lasting results, it is important to take aftercare instructions seriously after a procedure. By doing so, you can help to ensure optimal and long-lasting result.
